If it Smells Good...

Essential oils have been around for the past 6000 years. They have been used for preserving mummies, cleaning wounds and relaxing your entire body. They can be used in foods, perfume, cosmetics and in some medicines.

Now, the trick to this is to discover what to use for what reason. Ever heard of an aromatherapist? One can be very helpful when first learning about aromatherapy. Of course, your doctor needs to be consulted especially if you are pregnant.

Let's look at just a few oils and their uses. Some you are probably already familiar with, others may surprise you. I certainly was surprised when I first started some research on this.

I have heard that chamomile and jasmine can be used to help you relax, however, did you know that chamomile can be used for constipation and jasmine can be used for sexual problems?

Did you know that Sage was used by the Egyptians to help cure infertility in women? Today, sage is known to help regulate menstruation, relieve arthritis and reduce water retention.
