To Thine Own Self Be True
You have to take care of yourself! If you don't, who will? I mean physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually.
First of all, TAKE A VACATION!!!!! You not only deserve it, you NEED it!!! I am talking about having the "right" to have time away and enjoy life!!! And if you are not enjoying your work, maybe you need to really look at that also. I was just watching some old movie the other night and there was a line I really liked. "Don't let life be a bunch of Thursdays all strung together."
A vacation may be the opportunity to put together a "simple living plan" for yourself. Physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health allows you to be happy. Whether it is a week or a weekend, just do it! Fly, drive or walk, do something for yourself!
If your budget allows, you may want to consider a cruise. You could get to see beautiful exotic places and the price of a cruise includes all your meals! You can stay on the ship the entire time or experience the ports of call. Check it out.
"One tank trips" are great also. Of course with the price of a tank of gas today, it may be less expensive to take that cruise!! Check out some of your own local attractions. There are probably sights to see that do not cost an arm and a leg.
Secondly, take the time to create a "simple living plan" for yourself. If you keep saying "I don't have the time", then you could be missing out on the whole point of living which is being happy! When you are truly happy, you not only add to the happiness of your family, you add to the happiness of the universe!
Last, but certainly not least, explore yourself! What truly makes you happy? Search deep down inside. Meditation can be considered "mini vacations". Just stop and listen. Listen to what your inner self is saying. TO THINE OWN SELF BE TRUE!!!
Dance as if no one is watching Sing as though no one is listening Love as if you've never been hurt And enjoy life, this is not a dress rehearsal!!!
